Many USB devices have something called "ssp", which in theory makes pairing devices faster/more secure, but seems to break things spectacularly. Novena ships with a small daemon that simply monitors any Bluetooth devices that get added and disables the SSP capability. You can find novena-disable-ssp on Github.
