Topic: eDP adapter board

Does anyone have a spare eDP adapter board? Mine seems to be broken. :-(

Re: eDP adapter board

I don't have one in front of me right now, but I don't recall it being super complicated (read: no BGAs). So worst case you can probably assemble one yourself. Assuming you can find the main chip- I don't know how easy that is, though at first glance it appears at least Ali Express has them.

Sorry that's not more helpful.

EDIT: Just occurred to me that the board has high-speed signals on it... might want to check if there's any special PCB stackup before assuming you can just get some board house to make it. Poking holes in my own ideas...

Re: eDP adapter board

Yes, I am thinking about doing a production run for a few eDP Adapter boards. Anyone interested?

Re: eDP adapter board

I have had a few PCBs made as my eDP board seemed to have blown up. Soldering wasn't easy but do-able. I just got a load of boards from JLCPCb from the gerbers, I didn't bother with layer stack up, for now. Anyway they (2 populated) don't work. But then neither does my original eDP board with a replaced 251 chip. I'm a bit stuck at the moment trying to get the built-in screen working. I don't suppose anyone knows if there's a setting somewhere that stops the eDP from working if it isn't set up?
