Topic: First use problem
I just received NeTV and am trying to set it up for the first time. When I plugged it between my TV and cable box the TV shows "no signal"... wasn't sure if it needed to be set up before it would pass the video through so I plugged it in to my PC and was able to connect to the 10.0.88.1 address in a web browser... I went in and joined my WiFi and then was able to ssh using the LAN IP address (10.10.10.49). Then tried hooking back up to the TV but still no video... went back and ssh'd in and then ran the firmware update (by the online method). It didn't seem to show any errors so I rebooted it again so now I assume it's running the current firmware. Tried to ssh in to the LAN IP but get a connection refused error... so plug back into my PC. Strangely enough when it's plugged into the PC and I try to SSH the LAN IP it now works (swapped back to the ac adaptor to make sure I wasn't imagining things but no-go).
So now as it stands I can't connect to the webpage with either 10.0.88.1 nor 10.10.10.49 and can SSH to 10.10.10.49 only when NeTV is plugged directly in to the PC.
I would try re-flashing the firmware, but I don't have a microSD or adaptor for my pc right now so that's not an immediate option.
On top of that I still don't get any video when I plug NeTV between the cable box and my PC. The cable box is set to 1080i or 1080p24 only so either of those should be supported by NeTV as I understand it.
Any suggestions for either problem?
