Topic: Supplier for eDP Cable?

Hey everybody,

I'm searching for a suitable eDP cable to connect the novena edp-adapter board to the lcd screen. But after a week of searching I still haven't found anything.

Do you have any recommendations for shops or the like where I can find something that fits?

Amazon and eBay both seem to have cables that, at a cursory glance, would appear to work.

I still can't find anything ... Can you give an example for a matching cable?

It's hard to tell for sure, but here's one example on Amazon that looks like it might work:

Like I said, I THINK those are right- I definitely don't know for sure. It looks like some eBay listings will mis-use "LVDS" cable, or call it an "LED cable".

I ended up buying one off another Novena user who'd a spare, because I couldn't find one. If you get either of those two, please let me know if they work - one of my Novenas is going in a custom case, and I could do with some extra length on the display cable.

Unfortunately both of the cables are a no-match ... edp cables for apple usually have 40pin connectors, whereas for the novena, both the panel and board need a 30pin connector. Most other cables out there (including the Lenovo cable mentioned by dbtayl) have only on 30pin connector and something different at the other side.

However, after some research I found the correct 30pin connectors are sold individually by digikey: http://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/partg … ;vendor=17. In fact they arrived some days ago and are a perfect match for both the edp-adapter-board and the novena-panel (part-number 2023344-2). Next days I'll try to solder my own cable ...

Looks like 30-pin on both ends... A longer cable would definitely make my case design go better, so I'm interested in this as well.

EDIT: I searched for "LVDS cable" this time- not sure if that's helpful or not.
