Topic: Security : locking down the senoko console

Hi,
I just followed the instructions to get the senoko console [0] with "screen /dev/ttymxc3 115200 " and I was surprised to be able to do it as a simple user (i.e. no sudo required). Is this expected ? How would you advise me to lock it down ? Would there be any downside ?

Good Morning,

I am assuming you used the standard Novena installation. Assuming this, your user is in the group "Dialout", which allows it to use serial access. If you want to restrict access from other users, make sure they are not in that group.
