Benchmarks Thread

Here's a general benchmarks thread. I'm sure a lot of people are interested in the performance of the machine.

While porting NixOS to my Novena, I timed the compiling through the installer. It compiled builds with all four cores, and tried to do four builds at once. I'm not including dependencies, only the big time sinks:

• Nix - 4.5 Hours

• NixOS Base - 6 Hours

• Linux - 0.5 Hours

• LLVM, Mesa, X11 - 6 Hours

It should be noted I'm using a hard drive, not an SSD.

I imagine some interesting benchmarks would be cryptography, FPGA applications and graphical acceleration.
